Job Position:

Architect / Architect in Training.

Job Description and Requirements:

The architectural firm of Yezzi Associates, located in Toms River, N.J., is currently seeking an Architect or Architect in training. The potential candidate must have experience in producing construction documents and design under minor supervision.

The architect’s duties will include accurately preparing project construction documents; communicating with and coordinating the preparation of documents with consultants, contractors, team members; reviewing shop drawings, project submittals, etc. for document compliance; documenting code review and compliance; communicating and coordinating with management, clients, consultants and contractors related to daily business operations; supervising various aspects of assigned projects.

The potential candidate must:

  • Be able to work independently, or as part of a design team, under minor supervision.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using the latest Autocad (Autodesk) software release
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using the latest SketchUp 3D software release (and/or any other 3D renderingsoftware).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using the latest Microsoft Office Suite software release
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure, often against tight deadlines.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Have the ability to interact with executives, external client and vendors.
  • Be quality minded and self-motivated.

5 Year Degree –N.A.A.B. Accredited

Up until recentlyNJSBDC’s consulting services focused primarily on core operational activitiessuch as helping entrepreneurs develop business plans, obtain financing, identify new markets, develop marketing and sales strategies, learn recordkeepingand accounting skills, find procurement and international trade opportunities, commercialize technology, and develop an E-commerce presence. 

Thanks to a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and its long-standing working relationship with the Bureau of Energy and Sustainability (BES) at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)the NJSBDCnetwork has now added sustainability as a new specialty to its vast repertoire of services. AIA-NJ to Host Annual Design Conference

Oct. 20 in Somerset, N.J.

AIA New Jersey Design Conference to Include Rutgers Campus Tour, Keynote on University’s Master Plan as well as annual Design Awards

 

WHAT:            

The biggest names in New Jersey architecture will meet for a full-day architectural affair, culminating in a panel review of AIA-NJ’s annual design award submissions. In addition to the Design Awards Reception, the conference will feature a trade show as well as seminars on a range of topics, from women in architecture to emerging technologies for architects. In recognition of the 250th anniversary of Rutgers University, the opening keynote will focus on Rutgers University’s master plan, while the annual architectural tour will be a walk-through of the New Brunswick College Avenue Campus, discussing the campus’ history, recently constructed buildings and what the future holds in store.

Keynote 1: Frank Wong, Rutgers Executive Director of University Planning and Development on the topic of “Rutgers University Master Plan, Then and Now”
